Today marks one year of writing in this blog. And we’re just about to hit my two-year tango birthday. On one hand I can’t believe it has been this long already … and on the other it seems like such a short time. Thank goodness I have my entire lifetime to continue dancing.
In other news, I have been reminded of the value of other physical activities. I had been slacking off recently—no modern dance, no belly dance, no running, nothing. I had gotten busy with other things. But on Friday I decided to get my ass kicked by a modern dance class, and yesterday I went running. I could feel the results of my absence from those activities. And now I feel so refreshed. It helps me, personally, to have that variety (for mental and emotional reasons as well as the physical benefits).
